How Joint Replacement Models work HEADING_TITLE

All the joint replacement models (JRM) models are modular in concept.
The replica implants can be removed from the bone models to illustrate the bone resections made during the procedure for each type of joint replacement.

The replica implants are an accurate representation of the weight, feel and finish of real implants used in surgery today.

Parts of the replica joint replacement prosthesis can be disassembled.

By way of example, the replica knee components parts consist of the femoral implant, tibial baseplate and insert/spacer.

For total hip replacements the proximal femur stem and ball are combined as is the cup with poly liner. The proximal femur is magnetic (UK and US patents granted) in the vertical plane to illustrate how the stem fits into the bone and illustrates how the cement mantle works.

For the resurfacing hip replacement, the replica prosthesis of the head and cup can be shown either on or off the bone model.

For the unicondylar knee, the medial condile femoral implant, tibial medial compartment tray and insert/spacer.

Please do contact us if you would like more information about the technical specification of each model.
